Terms of Service

BE-JUMIN ("the Service") connects travelers with local neighborhoods and the small businesses within them. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by 이도희 ("we", "us"). It includes the BE-JUMIN mobile app and becomeajumin.com. How we handle personal data is described in ourPrivacy Policy.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

3. Your content

The photos, moments, pins, memos, and comments you create remain yours. So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the Service (for example, showing your moment on the map and in feeds). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where limited retention is required by law.

You are responsible for what you post. Location can be attached to your posts and pins; you control this through your device permissions and in-app choices.

4. Community rules

BE-JUMIN is a place for sharing real neighborhoods. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not post or do any of the following:

• Content that is illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
• Any sexual content involving minors, or any content that endangers or exploits children. This results in immediate removal and account termination, and may be reported to authorities.
• Harassment, threats, hate, or content that demeans a person or group.
• Sexually explicit or gratuitously violent content.
• Another person's personal information (doxxing), or content that infringes someone's privacy, portrait rights, or intellectual property.
• Spam, misleading commercial content, manipulated reviews, or impersonation of another person or business.
• False location information intended to deceive, or use of the Service to stalk or track another person.
• Attempts to disrupt the Service, including unauthorized access, scraping, or automated abuse.

5. Moderation, reporting, and blocking

The Service provides tools to keep the community safe:

• Report: every post and comment can be reported from its menu, with a reason.
• Block: you can block a user; their posts and comments are then hidden from you. You can manage this in Settings under the blocked users list.
• Review: we review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, including removing the content and, where warranted, restricting or removing the user who posted it.

6. Removal, suspension, and termination

We may remove content and restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with immediate effect for serious violations. You can delete your account at any time in the app; deletion is handled as described in thePrivacy Policy. If you believe we acted in error, contact us at the address in Section 10.

7. Places and neighborhood information

Store, menu, and neighborhood information shown in the Service is provided by business owners, users, or public sources and may change or contain errors. It is provided for reference; please confirm important details (such as opening hours) with the business. Visiting any physical place is at your own judgment.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". User content reflects the views of its authors, not ours. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including damages caused by our intent or gross negligence.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or on the website before they take effect; the date above always reflects the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
